Now that I have gone through the trouble to share what I use, I should say that if you are looking for what equipment to get yourself my recomendation is to go to your local camera store and see first hand the equipment. Thereare two big brands in the relm of DSLR photography (Nikon & Cannon) and you won't go wrong with ether of them (or Sony, Olympus, or Fuji.) The biggest factor in a camera to me is useability, which is something that is different to each person, and can only be experanced first hand. Once you have made your selection of a body, lenses can be adequitly researched online.
